Today I am going to show you how you can access the statistics of the podcasts that you have “uploaded” to Spotify .
In the study of Digital Marketing and Social Networks that Qatar Mobile Database IAB prepares each year, they have been warning that one of the upward trends is Podcasts and it is true that more and more professionals from all sectors have already started in this fantastic world that we already know. gives many joys.
If you want to know how to create your own Podcast channel, I’ll leave you THIS POST where I explain it step by step and if you want to have your channel on Spotify or on IOS, I’ll also tell you about it in this LINK.
When we began to share the episodes of our Podcast on Spotify we were a bit blind, as this platform did not offer us statistics on our creations, but a few months ago it launched a web page where you can see and analyze the data of each of your episodes .
To access your statistics
Log into your Spotify account
Enter Podcaster Spotify at THIS LINK
Once you have accessed you will find on the right side of the page all the episodes you have shared.
Select the episode you want to analyze.
What statistics will you find?
The first thing we find is a dashboard with the following metrics
Number of users who have started listening to your episode
Number of users who have listened for more than 60 seconds
Number of unique users who have listened to the episode
Below you will find the graphs
Episode performance. By default it shows you the last seven days, but you can select the period to analyze. You will see the average listening minutes of the entire episode to know the retention.

With this data we can already get an idea of what type of audience we have, the perfect duration for our next episodes and we can also perform a comparative test with other episodes to see which content is the ones that achieve the highest audience and user retention.
I imagine that little by little Spotify will incorporate more metrics so that we can refine our podcast more and more and adapt it to those who listen to us.
